Project Name

This is a new 79,653 sq ft building overlooking the Iconic Birmingham Cathedral. The building has eight floors and a basement, along with project managing the delivery of the converged network solution.

NICO was tasked with adding the WIFI and the environmental management to the landlord demises. The solution underpinned their Well standard and they were awarded WiredScore Platinum and BREEAM Excellent.

Scope of Works:

• Project management of the consolidated network layer for all BMS and landlord operations
• Installation and configuration of the WIFI solution
• Deployment of the user and analytics dashboards, including:
- – Carbon footprint monitoring and trending
- – Environmental and Wellbeing management and diagnostics
- – Plus, travel, news and weather live updates
• Each sensor has a user portal that the tenants can access to see live environmental information either by scanning the QR code or visiting the unique website that is labelled on each sensor. Each device is accessed via a unique code that is specific to the sensor
• The systems are also monitored and managed via the IM&M portal

Additional Experience

Glaxso Smith Clien (GSK), the new head office in New Oxford Street. NICO provided the site office environmental, occupancy and energy monitoring solution to Overbury. NICO monitored the site energy for the build and installed, commissioned and monitored the environment using the Synetica ENlink-C environmental sensors and the Milesight footfall and area occupancy monitors.

NICO were also commissioned to provide energy monitoring for a prototype vertical farm so that GSK could evaluate the yield and the costs. The dashboarding at the front door showed the weather, transport links and the energy and environmental status which enabled Overbury to win a green initiative award for the site.

76 Upper Ground this is a TClarke deployment where NICO is acting as the central core collating, normalising and data dissemination from sensors to upstream BMS and Smart Platform solutions.

Unilever new global HQ in Kingston providing the Master Systems Integrator (MSI) and smart ready deployment for Unilever via Overbury and Line Management Group. This project is currently on hold waiting on Unilever to complete a refactoring exercise and is due to restart in the new year.
