This is the showcase site and Global HQ for Schroders plc based in the City of London, with 320,000 sq. ft of new, purpose-built, agile Office space. Nico was engaged by the customer to install the IT Discovery, Asset and Connect solutions from the Nico IM&M software suite.

As the Master Systems Integrator (MSI) for the building project, Nico were responsible for assisting with the design, testing, and commissioning of all IT solutions. The IM&M Suite has been so successful for Schroders that they now use it in 26 countries.

Scope of Works & Delivery:

  • The delivery of a full automated cable management, solution
  • Delivery of a device discovery solution
  • Delivery and deployment of a full asset Management solution, including engineering tools and services
  • Move & change cost savings of over 5million pounds a year, based on automation of collection, installation and automatic updating of the database. Removal of the need to have expensive technical experts working during the move
  • Reduced their operational running costs by over 20% year on year
  • Enabled Schroders to conduct a move of just under 3,000 people over 4 weekends with no engineering staff and no issue on the Monday morning
  • Energy costs reduced by approximately 20% as occupancy is more flexible in its demands and 20% less desks than employees, producing savings that will run into approximately £15 million pounds of savings every year
  • Integrated with other systems such as their ServiceNow helpdesk, their BMS/iBMS solution, their Lync voice solution, their VDI solution as well as their Cannon printing and Cisco wireless and networking solutions to provide a best of breed system that enables Occupancy and people management, Environmental, Capacity management as well as comprehensive Asset, Connectivity and Discovery management and monitoring
